Data Centre - click to enlarge The DocQment™ Enterprise Platform is hosted in a secure hardened data centres including a standby business continuity facility to ensure clients server is maintained at all time. It was developed specifically for the medical transcription industry where the highest levels of security and confidentiality are paramount. The service meets both UK Data Protection Act and US HIPAA legislation

The security measures embedded in the service are the same as those used for internet banking transactions and include encrypted Secure Socket Layer sessions (SSL) for all data transfer, and anti-virus and firewall measures within the data centre. Data Protection
The DocQment™ Enterprise Platform complies with the US Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 which governs patient confidentiality and data security.

In the UK the Data Protection Act of 1998 imposes eight principles to protect the subjects of personal data. Speech Machines is a “Data Processor” and is registered under the Data Protection Act (Number Z5577059). Employee confidentiality
Every employee of Medquist and Speech Machines is required to sign a comprehensive and binding confidentiality agreement as a condition of their employment.
 
 
Medical transcription and medical typing services through speech recognition provide typing offshore workflow, dictation services and internet typing services. Confidential hospital typing includes digital dictation, NHS transcription and confidential medical dictation.
